Pipe line vandals have destroyed a pipeline belonging to the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which has resulted in an
inferno at Ilado, a marshy area near Ijegun in Lagos state.
The vandals were said to have invaded the area in boats allegedly from Cotonou.
A correspondent of channels television who was at the scene reports that firemen have put out the blaze and NNPC engineers are fixing the pipeline.
